Family portrait commission

I wanted to share a new commission piece I did this week that has a cool story.  When I was in college I was commissioned by a Brock family friend, Daniel, to make a piece of the Brocks celebrating their new baby.  Four years later Michael Brock came back to me to commission a new piece of them(to surprise his wife:) with their kid growing, and their new baby included.  It was so cool to have this happen. It is neat to see how my work has changed a little over the years.  I also loved this assignments because Michael gave me creative freedom.  Both have a slightly creepy undertone, of course.  And I am on a serious bike kick lately, so I had to include one of my flame-piped cycles, haha.  If you want a piece commissioned by me, I am in.  I love personal work that means something to people and that they can keep for a long time.

Feather N Stitch-in action

I had to share some images that Lianne Castravelli sent me.  She made her whole kid's nursery out of my Feather N Stitch collection.  I love it!  And she made a mobile shaped like the birds in the Bird Duet print.  Look at that little baby:D:D
