Lately I've been listening to a lot of Johnny Cash, I found a good stash of it in one of the shared itunes at work. I get really inspired by his music, the storytelling aspect feels very nostalgic. When we were growing up we never really had a specific type of music that we listened to, but the most consistent thing we heard was my dad playing clips of various songs that he knew on the guitar. It was a nice rest to the ears when there were dogs and reptiles and kids from the neighborhood running through the house.

I made this top picture for my grandma, it's something she always told us growing up. My grandma is a wise woman.

This is a pattern I've been playing with, trying to get the hang of color options and layouts. At Carter's a large part of what I do is repeat patterns, but with younger characters and flowers. It's really fun and had helped with my own stuff.

Angel

Oh man, we got a doggie:) Scoot's mom is moving and could only take two of her pups so we got Angel, and her name suits her just right. She is the sweetest dog ever, and loves cuddling. I am going to buy Carter's clothes and put them on her, haha.
