Sunday funnies

I've been working on these little cartoons lately with the idea of publishing a book of them. Sometimes I get bored with what I'm doing and end up working on something polar opposite. These have been really fun because it's a little way to humor myself when things start to drag a little. The humor is a little dark, but in a light hearted way.

dawn

I've been playing with environments lately to see how I would convey certain landscapes by simplifying everything into a pattern or shape. So here is a hill landscape with the sun making it's daily appearance in the morning.

This is something I did for fun. Over the summer I was really into looking at the early Vogue covers. I suppose I was trying a modern version of it. Artists like George Barbier, Helen Dryden and Erte are good examples of early fashion work. I wish they were still using illustrations for the covers.

mumsy goose

A book cover for Thiel. Yes, indeed. I love the weather change lately. Everyone seems to be loveable when it's cooler outside. The best is when you go outside at night and you can smell campfire in the cool air. Anyway, so here are some geese.
